I can read a decent amount before the paywall pops up, so it doesn’t feel too pushy. Like, it blocks me eventually, but overall it feels fair, fair.

I’ve found The Washington Post really helpful for deeper investigations. They usually don’t just skim the surface, they take the time to explain what happened and why it matters. I wouldn’t say everyone needs to read it every day, but when a big story gets complicated, it’s definitely worth checking out.

I canceled my Washington Post subscription last week, it went okay, but it still felt like they made me work for it. I had to click around more than I should have just to find the right cancellation page, which was frustrating because it always feels like these companies hope you’ll just give up.

Once I actually got to the right spot, the steps were clear. They did try to get me to stay with an offer, which I expected, but at least I didn’t have to call anyone or argue with customer service. I got the confirmation email right away, so in the end it was fine, just annoyingly hidden like usual.
